Risk of fire!
When a storm and/or thunderstorm

with the risk of lightening threatens,
please disconnect the appliance from
the mains power.
Use only light bulbs of the type detailed
•
in the Technical data. In particular,
do not use higher performance light
bulbs.
Do not leave the appliance unattended
•
at any time when it is in use.
Do not position the lamp close to
•
inflammable objects, especially not
close to curtains or drapes.
Ensure that the lamp maintains an all
•
round minimum distance of 35 cm to
all surrounding objects. With areas on
which the light falls directly,
a distance of 50 cm must be
maintained.
Never use the appliance at locations
•
where, should it inadvertently fall off,
it would land on easily inflammable
materials, e.g. soft furnishings, beds,
waste paper baskets etc.
Place the lamp where it cannot be
•
damaged by falling objects.
Risk of accidents and injury!
Provide a secure positioning for the
•
appliance.
Do not operate the appliance if it has
•
sustained a fall or is damaged. Arrange
for the appliance to be checked and,
if necessary, repaired by qualified
technicians.
Before changing the light bulb, ALWAYS
•
wait for the bulb and the bulb holder
to cool down. Otherwise you run the
risk of being burnt on the hot elements.
This appliance is not intended for use
•
by individuals (including children)
with restricted physical, physiological
or intellectual abilities or deficiences
in experience and/or knowledge un-
less they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or receive
from this person instruction in how
the appliance is to be used. Children
should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.

Assembling the lamp and
taking it into use
We have preassembled parts of the lamp.
You only need to insert the light bulb.
First take all appliance components

from the packaging and remove all
packing foil and tape.
Insert the prongs of the bulb

fully into the opening of the bayonet
connector in the bulbholder

and
then turn the bulb through ¼ rotation
to the right.
Insert the lamp with its plug

into
a properly installed and earthed
mains power socket at a location that
complies with the details given in the
safety instructions.
Turn and swivel the lamp head

in
the required direction.
