2.
Let go of the switch (4) when the protruding portion (5) of
the stairway touches the stopper (6).
3.
Put the preventing chain (2) for the stairway from lowering
to the machine side hook if the engine is to be stopped for
a long time with the stairway being stored.
Use the step on the right side of the machine when get off
from the machine while the stairway is stored.
REMARK
Stairway will be lowered by hydraulic drift when the engine is stopped for a long time. This is not a failure.
• Stairway will be prevented from hydraulic drift by putting the chain for the stairway from lowering to the ma-
chine side hook.
• Check that there is no persons around the machine before starting the engine, since the stairway is auto-
matically restored to the storage position at starting the engine if the hydraulic drift angle is within 5 °.
• Store the stairway with the stairway raising switch, since the stairway is not automatically restored to the
storage position if the hydraulic drift angle is 5 ° or more.
ACTIONS IF MACHINE DOES NOT MOVE BY PROXIMITY SWITCH FAIL-
URE ETC
If the machine cannot travel, swing, or perform the work equipment operations, even though the hydraulically
operated stairway has been correctly stored, the proximity switches may have failure. Check the proximity
switches according to the following procedure.
METHOD FOR CHECKING AND ADJUSTING PROXIMITY SWITCH
1.
Stop the engine.
2.
