Replace the breather (3).

Remove the dipstick (G) and air bleeding plug (4) (but re-
move the air bleeding plug (4) only when adding oil into
the front machinery). Add the capacity of oil through the
gauge insertion port (F).

After oil is refilled, install the air bleeding plug (4) of front
machinery.
6.
Check the oil level by referring to “METHOD FOR CHECK-
ING OIL LEVEL IN SWING MACHINERY CASE, ADDING
OIL”.

The oil level may not be stabilized immediately after the oil
is changed. Operate the machine for an hour, then check
the oil level again.

WARNING
Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot, and may cause burn injury.
Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.
NOTICE
Park the machine on a flat ground and stop the engine. When more than 30 minutes elapse after stop-
ping the engine, check the oil level.
Refill capacity:13.5 ℓ

Remove the plug (1) on the bottom of the machine body,
install drain hose , then loosen the drain valve (2), and
drain the oil.
Be careful not to loosen the drain valve too far and deform
the stopper pin inside the valve.

After draining the oil, tighten the drain valve (2), remove
drain hose and install the plug (1).
Tightening torque of drain valve (2): 49.0 to 78.5 Nm {5 to
8 kgm}
Tightening torque of plug (1): 58.8 to 78.5 Nm {6 to 8 kgm}
