When transporting the machine, place wooden blocks under the front and rear track shoes to prevent the
machine from moving. Also, hold it down with chains or wire rope of a suitable strength. Be particularly care-
ful to ensure that the machine does not slip sideways.

Never perform lifting operations with any person on the machine.
q
Always make sure that the wire rope (cable) used for lifting the machine is of ample strength for the
weight of the machine.
q
Never try to lift the machine in any posture other than the posture given in the procedure below.
There is danger that the machine may lose its balance.
q
When lifting the machine,pay careful attention to the center of gravity to maintain the balance.
When lifting the machine, perform the operation on flat ground as follows:
1.
Stop the engine and be sure to set the parking lever to the LOCK position.
2.
Set the lifting position for the machine as shown in the dia-
gram on the right.
NOTICE
The lifting procedure applies to machines with standard
specifications.
The method of lifting differs according to attachments and
options actually installed on the machine. For the proper
lifting procedures, contact your Komatsu distributor.
