Highly Reliable Maintenance-Free Digital Security System
Images stored on video tapes are often distorted from prolonged use and clear still
images are virtually impossible to obtain. Recording on conventional digital video
recorders was limited to mediocre resolution and short recording times. Now with
Kollector, distortion-free and high quality images can be stored for months, at a time
on one or two removable hard disk. To top it off, Kollector can save you money in
maintenance cost because you can save recorded images over again on the same
hard disk as well as archiving the video for long periods of time on economical DVD
disks or RW-CD ROM. But VCRs need monthly tape head cleaning and regular
parts changes.
Full Compatibility with Existing CCTV Cameras and Equipments.
Kollector is fully compatible with conventional CCTV cameras with NTSC or PAL
signal, which adds up no additional costs to replace the existing VCR, multiplexer
and other hardware.
Innovative Enhanced MPEG1 Compression Technology
With Enhanced MPEG1 compression algorithm, a single system can provide both
high quality images during high-activity recording and enhanced compression
efficiency. Kollector utilizes software-based compression system, which allows
quick and easy upgrade. Competitive technologies require 18~28K of disk space
per image for resolution of between 120 & 180 horizontal TV lines. Kollector
requires only 1/4 to 1/5 the space providing resolutions up to 280 horizontal TV
lines. Because of the smaller file sizes, Kollector can record video data onto
reliable hard disk exporting video to equally reliable CD or DVD and not use
expensive and unreliable DV or DAT tape.
High Speed Search and Crystal-like Clear Still Images.
Kollector utilizes hard disk to save images, which allows high speed search and
output of high quality still images, without interrupting the recording function.
System Backup Program
After abnormal shut-down such as power-failure, the system may not be booted up
again due to a damage of HDD’s boot-up-related files. In this case, System Backup
program operates automatically to restore the damaged files in HDD and keep the
system stable. And Backup must be selected by clicking on System Backup button,
each time the system is upgraded.(It takes approximately 10 minutes)
