1. Prepare the Site
Ensure that the installation area is clean and free of all debris. If remodeling, remove all finished
wall material to expose the framing and remove all floor coverings to expose the subfloor.
Inspect the flooring at the installation site. Repair as necessary.
NOTE:
The receptor weighs approximately 175 lbs. (79 kg). Provide adequate plywood support for the
receptor.
Make sure the sub and finished floors are flat and level.
Cut the Floor – Drop-in Installations Only
Carefully measure dimensions B and C (see illustration).
Subtract 1/2
″
(1.3 cm) from dimension C and 1/4
″
(6 mm) from dimension B. These new
measurements determine the size of the recessed hole.
Measure dimension A (see illustration) to determine the depth of the recessed hole. The receptor feet
must rest on the subfloor, and the receptor must be level.
