Install the Hanger
WARNING: Risk of property damage.
Select lag bolts with a minimum of 500 lbs
(227 kg) load bearing and 5/16
″
(8 mm) diameter. Select lag bolts with a length
that can safely clear any obstacles in the wall. Calculate the proper length of the
lag bolts by adding the following: 1-1/2
″
(3.8 cm) b finished wall
thi hanger thickness.
Locate the 2x6 brace behind the finished wall.
NOTE: For alternate vanity heights:
The top of the hanger must be 2-1/8
″
(5.4 cm)
below the finished height of the vanity.
Measure and mark 29-1/4
″
(74.3 cm) from the floor to the desired center location
of the vanity.
Hold the hanger in place, then level.
Mark the two mounting hole locations of the hanger on the finished wall. Set the
hanger aside.
TIP:
If you will be using 5/16
″
lag bolts, use a 1/4
″
drill bit.
Drill the two marked hole locations.
Secure the hanger to the finished wall using flat washers and 5/16
″
lag bolts (not
provided).
Verify the hanger is level.
NOTE: If the hanger is not level:
Loosen the lag bolts, level the hanger, then
retighten the lag bolts.
