• Tilt up the printer mechanism as shown. The back of the printer mechanism is slotted into a groove at the
back of the printer housing as shown below. Lift gently to remove the printer from the groove section.
• Flip over the printer mechanism and press the “EJECT” side of the ink ribbon. This will unlatch the ink
ribbon from the printer mechanism.
• Replace the ink ribbon. Carefully insert the
new ribbon.
• Do not pull or twist the ribbon cables
connected to the printer mechanism.
• Once new printer ink ribbon is in place, flip
the printer mechanism over, taking care not to
twist the cables. The cables should run over
and on top of the printer as shown above.
• Make sure the paper is still fed through the
outside paper slot opening.
• Reverse the above order - the printer mechanism housing can then be hinged back into the main housing of
the instrument as before. A magnet will lock it into position. Make sure there is no possibility for a paper jam
before closing the printer housing door.
