Basic scanning
Scanner controls
The cover of the E1030/40 Series
Scanners contains a 1.5” function
window and five buttons.
Function window
If you installed a
Kodak
scanning
application, the
function window
displays 1-9. These numbers correspond
to predefined functions. See “Scanning
functions” on page 16.
U or E is displayed if an error occurs.
Buttons
The
power
button
is always active and is used to turn the scanner
on and off.
The
Up
and
Down
Scroll buttons
allow you to select or
scroll through predefined functions by pressing the Up or Down
buttons.
The
Play
button
initiates the scanning function.
The
X
button
will stop or pause the scanning function:
• press once to temporarily pause scanning (press the play button
to resume scanning)
• press twice to stop scanning
The button can also be used to clear
some types of flashing codes.
