3. How should I insert the chip card?
The card slot is set back slightly at the back of KAAN.
The chip card must be pushed in up to the end stop.
Please ensure that the golden contacts on the chip card
are facing upwards and are inserted first.
4. Can I enter my chip card's PIN directly in
KAAN?
In order to be able to enter a chip card's PIN number
directly in the chip card reader, KAAN supports a part of
the so-called MKT command set. If your application
supports this command set, you can enter the PIN
directly into KAAN. This has the advantage that the PIN
cannot be intercepted by viruses or other malicious
programmes on your PC. Please refer to the manual for
details.
