OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
5. Insert Caulk or Adhesive Tube/Cartridge
Always examine tubes/cartridges before installing.
Do not use a damaged or frozen tube.
a. Ensure the trigger-lock button (I) in in locked
position .
b. Remove the battery pack.
c. Cut the tip of the nozzle at an angle and spot
recommended by the tube manufacturer.
Smaller openings require more force to push
the material and possibly affecting battery life.
d. Break the inner seal of the tube using the
puncture tool (F) located on the underside of
the cartridge holder (E).
NOTICE:
If the inner seal is not broken, material could be forced out through the rear of the
tube and damage the tool.
e. Press and hold the rod-release button (G) and pull the rod handle (A) back to allow the
caulk/adhesive tube to fit inside the cartridge holder.
f. Insert caulk/adhesive tube.
g. Press and hold the rod-release button and push the plunger rod handle forward until the
plunger (D) is against the tube.
h. Release the rod-release button.
i. Rotate the cartridge holder to desired angle for better caulking direction.
To remove the tube
Press and hold the rod-release button (G) and pull the rod handle (A) back. Push the tube
back toward the plunger, then lift the tube out of the cartridge holder.
6. General Operating Tips
WARNING
• Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields during operation. If operation
is dusty, also wear a respiratory protection.
• The trigger pressure, selected speed range, material type, temperature and nozzle diameter
will all affect the flow rate.
• When using a tube with a smaller nozzle diameter, use a slower speed or the material may
be forced around the rear seal of the tube.
• You should always perform a trial caulking operation on scrap material to determine the
suitable speed to produce desired results.
• For best results, gradually increase speed settings.
• The plunger will stop automatically when it has reached the end of the tube.
• Speed Setting 6 is designed for high volume dispensing using a large tip opening (if used
with a small tip opening damage may occur to the caulk cartridge).
