To use the Shading O ptions:
• M o ve th e c u rs o r to th e box c o rre s p o n d in g to y o u r p rin te r’s
dot p a tterns (the 8 -d o t box for a 2 x 4 printer, th e 16 -d o t
box for a 4 x 4 printer. See th e A p p e n d ix).
• Press e ither button. T h e C O L O R PATTERNS M E N U will
a p p e a r on yo u r screen.
• T o return to th e M A IN MENU, m ove th e cu rs o r to th e MAIN
M EN U box and press e ither button.
To see the dot pattern used fo r specific colors:
• M o ve th e c u rs o r to th e c o lo r you w a n t to se e and press
eith e r button.
• T h e c h o s e n c o lo r will be h ig h lig h te d and th e print pattern,
re p re se nte d by b la ck dots, will be d is p la ye d on y o u r
screen.
You ca n find th e o c c u rre n c e of a p a rticu la r c o lo r in yo u r picture.
For e xa m p le , s u p p o s e you are not su re if the g re y used in yo u r
p ic tu re is a d a rk g re y or a m e d iu m grey. T o find m ed iu m grey:
• M ove th e c u rs o r to M G R E Y (m e d iu m g re y) and p ress e ither
button. M G R E Y will be highlighted.
• M ove th e c u rs o r to th e blue box labelled FIN D and p ress
e ith e r button.
• Y o u r p ic tu re will be d isp la ye d on y o u r scre e n . T h e a reas that
blink c o n ta in th e ch o s e n co lo r, (in th is e xam ple, m edium
grey). If no a reas are blinking, th e n th e p ictu re does
not co n ta in th a t color.
• R eturn to th e C O L O R PATTERN S M E N U by pre ssin g e ither
button.
