General Information & Cleaning:

Installation:

READ THIS FIRST:

Check the pack and make sure you have all of 

the parts listed on the front of this booklet. If 

not, contact the outlet where you bought this 

product.

This product contains glass, care must be taken 

when assembling, fitting or handling to prevent 

personal injury or damage to the product.

This product must be installed by a competent 

person in accordance with the current building 

and IEE wiring regulations.

As the buyer, installer and/or user of this product 

it is your own responsibility to ensure that this 

fitting is fit for the purpose for which you have 

intended it. Eterna Lighting cannot accept any 

liability for loss, damage or premature failure 

resulting from inappropriate use.

If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician.

This product is designed and constructed 

according to the principles of the appropriate 

British Standard and is intended for normal 

domestic service. Using this heater in any other 

environments may result in a shortened working 

life.

The heater lamps supplied with this fitting are 

consumable parts and therefore may be outside 

of any warranty offered.

Do not use the fitting without the safety shield 

fitted and replace the safety shield if it is cracked 

or broken.

When replacing the heater lamp, do not touch 

with bare fingers, grip the lamp with a tissue or 

clean soft cloth.

This unit is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

This product is suitable for installation on 

surfaces with normal flammability e.g. wood, 

plasterboard and masonry.  It is not suitable 

for use on highly flammable surfaces (e.g. 

polystyrene, textiles). 

Before making fixing hole(s), check that 

there are no obstructions hidden beneath the 

mounting surface such as pipes or cables.

Make sure that the fixings are strong enough to 

support the considerable weight of the fitting 

and hold it rigidly.

The heater must be positioned so that there is 

at least 1.0m between the heater and any other 

surfaces. 

When choosing the location for your new heater, 

ensure that the fixings will be anchored in a solid 

surface e.g. concrete, brick or a joist—do not fix 

directly onto panelling, cladding, plasterboard 

etc. Always use the supplied baskets where 

possible.  

This product must be connected to earth 

termination.

WARNING!  This product becomes hot!

This product is not intended to be used by 

children and persons with sensory, physical 

and/or mental impairments that would prevent 

them from using it safely.

Small children should be supervised to ensure 

that they do not play with this appliance.

IMPORTANT— Do not cover or obstruct your 

patio heater. 

Always switch off at the socket and remove the 

plug before changing the heater lamp.

The plug is fitted with a 13Amp fuse. When 

replacing, use only a 13Amp fuse approved 

to BS1362 and carrying the relevant approval 

mark. Never use the plug with the fuse bypassed 

or omitted.  If the external flexible cable of 

this heater is damaged it shall be exclusively 

replaced by a service agent or similar qualified 

engineer.

If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician
 

CLEANING:

Disconnect the power and clean the exterior 

only of this fitting with a moist (not wet) cloth.

Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaners.

INSTALLATION:

Choose the location for your new patio heater 

giving consideration to the points above.

1.   Use the mounting bracket to mark the position  

of fixing, use a spirit level to ensure it is fixed 

level.

2.  Drill the wall at marked positions & fix 

the bracket using appropriate fixings (not 

supplied).

3.  Using the bolt and locknut, secure heater/

tilting bracket onto the wall bracket previously 

fixed.

4.  Adjust/secure the angle of the heater 

to provide heat to the desired area by 

unscrewing/tightening the locknut of the 

tilting bracket assembly. 

5.  Ensure that you meet the minimum distance 

of 1 metre from lighted objects.

6.  Ensure that the mains cable does not cause a 

trip hazard.

7.   Insert the plug into a suitable mains supply 

socket and switch on the power. If the socket 

or extension lead is situated outdoors it must 

be the correct IP rated type. 

 

CAUTION:

DO NOT TOUCH THE HEATER OR ADJUST 

ITS POSITION UNLESS THE POWER IS 

DISCONNECTED AND IT HAS COOLED DOWN
