Product Version with DOT Function
Device version P16840 generates a direction-of-travel (DOT) signal. The output of the first channel
(terminal 3.3) supplies the result of the input channel phase comparison as a DOT signal.
The output of the second channel reproduces the signal from the input of the second channel. With
the P16840, the outputs are galvanically interconnected. The inputs are galvanically isolated from
each other and from the outputs.

The phase shift of 2-channel speed sensors is approximately 90°.
With a rising signal edge at the input of channel 2, the output level of the DOT signal is set at the out-
put of the first channel.
