4.3.4 Removing the
Side Scan
Transducers
To remove the side scan
transducers:
1.
Perform Steps 1 through 4
in “Disassembling the
Towfish” on page 4-3.
2.
Remove the skid plate as
described in “Removing the
Skid Plate” on page 4-11.
3.
Perform Steps 1 through 4
in “Removing the Gap-
filling Transducers” on
page 4-13.
4.
Using the 4-mm hex key, remove the eight socket head cap screws securing
the transducer assembly to the towfish housing.
5.
Carefully separate the
transducer assembly from
the towfish housing.
6.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to
remove the other side scan
transducer.
4.3.5 Installing the
Side Scan
Transducers
To install the side scan
transducers:
1.
Reverse Steps 2 through 4
in “Removing the Side
Scan Transducers” above
for each transducer.
2.
Slide the nose cone into the towfish housing, aligning the locator pin on the
nose cone with the slot in the housing and threading the nose cone retaining
bolt into the end cap as shown in Figure 4-14 on page 4-10.
3.
Tighten the nose cone retaining bolt.
