Before use
2. Before use
• Read this guide, taking special note of the
Safety instuctions
section.
•
Remove any protective film that may still be on your
ceramic hob.
2.1 Notes on using the touch controls
• The controls respond to touch, so you don’t need to
apply any pressure.
•
Use the ball of your finger, not its tip.
• You will hear a beep each time a touch is registered.
• Make sure the controls are always clean, dry and that
there is no object (e.g. a utensil or a cloth) covering
them. Even a thin film of water may make the controls
difficult to operate.
!
Note:
When the hob is used for the first time, production residues
may cause an odour and even slight smoke to develop.
This is normal and harmless.
Keep the room well ventilated until these have disappeared (max. 30 min.).
1.2 How the induction hob works
Induction cooking is a safe, advanced, efficient,
and economical cooking technology .
The heat is generated directly in the metal of the
cookware by electromagnetic vibrations and not
indirectly by heating the glass surface.
The glass only becomes hot because it is finally
heated by the cookware.
