Charging a device
1. Make sure the Slam is plugged into the mains, as this function will not work when using battery power
to operate the Slam
2. Using the appropriate USB charge cable, connect one end to the device and the other to the USB port
on the Slam
Note: The USB output is not suitable for use with any device that requires more than 1 amp to charge
3. Your device will now be charging
Aux audio input
Using the aux audio input
1. Plug one end of an aux cable (not included) into the aux input on the Slam
2. Plug the other end of the cable into the audio output/headphone output on an MP3 player
or other audio source
3. Press (don’t hold) the Power button (6) to turn the unit on (if not on already)
4. The power light will be green and the Bluetooth light (2) should not be flashing
5. Audio played on the connected device will now be heard through the speaker
6. The volume can be adjusted on both your device and on the Slam
Note: Any audio being played on a connected Bluetooth device will cease once the aux audio
source is connected.
Note: The play/pause function on the Slam will not operate in aux mode.
PLEASE NOTE:
Your device will have an internal amplifier and if it is playing digital files like MP3s it will also have
an integrated DAC (Digital Audio Converter). If you turn up the volume to 100%, your device will be
sending distorted signals to the Slam. To avoid this and to get the best sound quality from the speaker,
we recommend that you do not run your device any higher than 95% volume.
