PREPARING THE STOVETOP PRECISION KETTLE FOR USE
ABOUT YOUR STOVETOP PRECISION KETTLE
Fill the Kettle with water to the “MAX”
fill line inside the Kettle.
IMPORTANT:
Be sure that the vent
holes at the top of the Kettle are clean
and free of obstructions, or the Kettle
may overflow.
Before first use
• Before using your Stovetop Precision Kettle for the first time, wash the Kettle and lid
in warm, soapy water, then rinse with clean water and dry.
• Fill the Kettle with water to the “MAX” fill line (see example below) and bring to a full
boil.
• To avoid damage to the Kettle, do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
Since 1919
• Your Kettle can be used on electric,
gas, and induction cooking surfaces.
Do not use the Kettle in the oven or
microwave oven.
• For best results, match the kettle base
size with the cooktop burner size. If
using on a gas cooking surface, do not
allow gas flames to extend up the side
of the Kettle.
• Be sure to lift the Kettle when removing
it from the cooktop surface. Sliding or
dragging may damage the cooktop
surface or base of the Kettle.
• Before turning on the burner, ensure
that the kettle lid is securely in place on
top of the Kettle.
• Allow the Kettle to cool on a heat-
resistant surface. Do not leave Kettle
on a hot burner.
• If there are any signs of damage to the
Kettle, do not use.
• If handle is damaged or loose, do not
use. Do not attempt to repair or modify
the handle.
• The Kettle is meant to boil water
only. Do not put any other liquids or
substances in the Kettle.
