− Only connect the cooktop to a wall socket. Do not connect
it to an adaptor and share a socket with other appliances.
− Never use the cooktop if the surface is cracked.
− Do not use the cooktop if the housing or cord is defective
or has other visible damages. In the event of damage,
only have the cooktop serviced by the manufacturer, its
customer service team or a similarly qualified person to
avoid risks.
− Never open the housing of the cooktop.
− Do not allow objects to fall onto the cooktop.
− Never try to repair the cooktop yourself. All repairs must be
carried out solely by a qualified electrician.
− Make sure no foreign objects penetrate into the housing of
the cooktop.
− Keep the cooktop, cord and plug away from water and
other fluids.
− Do not touch the plug of the cooktop with wet hands.
− Always pull the plug and not the cord to disconnect the
cooktop from the socket.
− Lay the cord of the cooktop so that it does not pose a
tripping hazard.
− Make sure the cord is not hanging over edge of a table or
counter, or touching hot surfaces.
− Make sure the cord is free of twists, kinks and knots.
− Never store the cooktop so that there is a risk of it falling
into a sink or wash basin.
− Never reach to retrieve the cooktop if it has fallen in water.
In such case, immediately pull the plug. Have the cooktop
checked before using it again.
− Always turn the cooktop off and pull the plug out of the
socket:
• before you clean the cooktop,
• if a fault occurs,
• in the event of a storm.
