KC-75FX POWER SUPPLY (DUAL VOLTAGE)

WARNING:

YOUR KC-75FX (6” Jointer) SHOULD BE CONNECTED TO A

110V, 15-AMP, BRANCH CIRCUIT. FAILURE TO CONNECT IN THIS WAY
CAN RESULT IN INJURY FROM SHOCK OR FIRE.

110V OPERATION

As received from the factory, your 6” Jointer is ready to run for 110V
operation. This machine is intended for use on a circuit that has an outlet
and a plug which looks like the one illustrated in Fig.1A.

220V OPERATION

If 220V, single phase operation is desired, the motor leads must be
reconnected for 220V operation, as indicated on the inside of the
connections cover, the magnetic switch must be replaced with acompatible
220V model and the 110V plug must be replaced with an appropriate 220V
as illustrated in Fig.1B. We strongly recommend that you contact an
authorized King Canada service center or qualified electrician to convert
your table saw from 110V to 220V.

KC-85FX POWER SUPPLY

WARNING:

YOUR KC-85FX (8” Jointer) MUST BE CONNECTED TO A

220V, 15-AMP, BRANCH CIRCUIT. FAILURE TO CONNECT IN THIS WAY
CAN RESULT IN INJURY FROM SHOCK OR FIRE.

220V OPERATION

As received from the factory, your Jointer is ready to run for 220V
operation. A Jointer with a 220V plug should only be connected to an outlet
having the same configuration as illustrated by the grounded outlet box in
Fig.1B. No adaptor is available or should be used for 220V operation.

GENERAL GROUNDING INFORMATION

These Jointers must be grounded. If one should malfunction or breakdown,
grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current, to reduce
the risk of electric shock. These Jointers are equipped with a cord having
an equipment-grounding conductor and grounding plug. The plug must be
plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in
accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

EXTENSION CORDS

Use proper extension cords. Make sure your extension cord is in good
condition and is a 3-wire extension cord which has a 3-prong grounding
type plug and 3-hole receptacle which will accept the tool’s plug.

When using extension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carry the
current of the machine. An undersized extension cord will cause a drop in
line voltage, resulting in loss of power and overheating. Figure 2 shows the
correct gauge to use depending on the extension cord length. If in doubt,
use the next heavier gauge. The smaller the gauge number, the heavier the
extension cord.
