7) Slowly open the cold water supply valve and allow the QuickFlo tank to fill
for several minutes. (During this time some air may occasionally discharge
from the tubing.) Be prepared for up to 1 tank of water to be discarded from
the tubing that was secured into the bucket or pan in step 4.When the flow
stops from this tubing, shut off the cold water supply.
8) Open the drinking water tap to depressurize the system. After several seconds
to one minute, the flow should stop from the drinking water tap. Close the
drinking water tap and the storage tank valve. Remove the sanitizer cartridges
and discard the water that they contain. Be prepared to catch accidental spills
from these cartridges. Place the protective caps back on the sanitizer car-
tridges and save them for future use.
9) Reconnect the drain line that was disconnected in step 4 to port # 3 on the
RO bracket manifold. If the tubing end is scarred or scratched, cut away the
damaged end before connecting it to the tank. All the tubing should now be
properly installed.
10) Install the prefilter cartridge into the prefilter head on the left-hand side of
the bracket manifold. Install the MACguard postfilter cartridge into the
postfilter head on the right-hand side of the bracket manifold. Be sure the
PureMometer is in the startup position (blue indicator fully visible).
IMPORTANT
: DO NOT drink the water from the system during this
procedure.
11) Remove the securing clip from the bracket manifold by squeezing the
locking tabs inward and pulling the clip off. Remove the module sanitizer
assembly. (Be prepared to catch residual water from the manifold.) Slide the
RO module into the center of the manifold bracket assembly. Secure the
module to the manifold with the clip. Be sure the clip “snaps” into position
on both sides.
12) Open the RO tap. Open the cold water supply valve.
13) Open the shutoff valve on the tank. The tank should now be discharging
water through the open drinking water tap. This will flush away carbon
fines from the MACguard Filter. When the flow slows to a steady drip, leave
the RO tap open for 10 to15 minutes to purge any remaining air out of the
system. Close the RO tap and allow the system to fill the RO storage tank
for a few hours. Discard the water in the tank after this time. When the tank
refills, the system is ready to use.
