If the LO W ter minal of this tester is connected to the HIGH or LO W ter mi -
nal of the ear th contin uity tester T OS6200, the ammeter will be subject to
measurement errors if GU ARD is selected, as the resistor inside the
T OS6200 is connected in par allel to the tester’ s ammeter . Theref ore , to
use the T OS6200, a v oid connecting these ter minals or select LO W .
Select GU ARD only when DUTs such as small electronic components and jigs are
completely “ fl oating” electrically .
The GU ARD mode enables high-sensiti vity , high accurac y measurements to be
made, as it e xcludes the current by stray capacity and insulation resistance of the
test leadwire and jigs.
