Mounting Your Extinguisher
Please follow the instructions below
for mounting the bracket that was
supplied with your HomeHero
TM
Kitchen
Fire Extinguisher.
Drill a hole in your wall and a second
hole exactly 1-1/4 inches below it. Insert
a drywall anchor in each hole. If you are
attaching the bracket to a wooden stud,
anchors are not needed. Make sure that
there are at least 12 inches of clearance
above the top hole and 7 inches of
clearance below the bottom hole. If there
is inadequate clearance above or below
the holes, the fire extinguisher will not fit
in the designated space.
Assembling and Installing Bracket
1 Install the circular wire component at the
bottom end of the bracket by squeezing
the wire prongs so that they fit through
the only pair of holes at the bottom end
of the bracket. (Please note: bracket
may already be assembled.) The long
wire component should be located at
the top end of the bracket where two
pairs of holes are available.
2 Install the long wire component at the
top end of the bracket where two pairs
of holes are available. If installing the
HomeHero
TM
Kitchen Fire Extinguisher
alone, align the long wire component
so that its prongs fit through the
lower pair of holes. If installing the
fire extinguisher together with the
HomeHero
TM
Fire Extinguisher Docking
Station*, align the long wire component
so that its prongs fit through the pair of
holes at the top end of the bracket.
3 Select the appropriate screws for
your mounting application (screws
not included). To avoid scratching
the extinguisher, flathead screws are
recommended.

Securing Extinguisher in Bracket
Bracket without Docking Station*
Install the fire extinguisher into the
bracket by placing the rubber foot of the
extinguisher into the ring at the base of
the bracket with the gauge and pin facing
toward you. Push the unit toward the wall
until the extinguisher is fully seated. The
extinguisher fits securely into the bracket
and will require a slight force to be fully
inserted into the top wire component.

CUIDADO:

Under certain fire and heat
conditions, the dry chemical powder
in ABC type extinguishers will cause
damage or prove extremely difficult to
remove from oven surfaces, including
self-cleaning models. Do not use self-
cleaning feature to remove ABC powder.
BC type extinguishers are recommended
for cooking areas.
CAUTION:
The agent contained in
this extinguisher is not toxic, but may
cause skin irritation. Avoid inhaling the
dry chemical agent. In case of contact,
flush affected area with clean, cool water.
If irritation persists, contact a physician
immediately and provide name of
chemical agent (see extinguisher label).

Cuál Extinguidor Usar

Which Extinguisher to Use

Extinguisher is a type BC extinguisher.
There are two common types of fire
extinguishers, ABC and BC. Type ABC
extinguishers fight wood, paper and cloth
fires, plus flammable liquid and electrical
fires. Type BC extinguishers should
only be used for flammable liquids and
electrical fires. Type BC extinguishers
are typically used in kitchens because
the chemical agent in ABC extinguishers
may damage ovens and other kitchen
surfaces. Type ABC extinguishers should
be used in other rooms of the home.
Inspection and Maintenance
To ensure that your fire extinguisher will
be ready when needed:
• Read and follow all instructions on the
label and in the User’s Guide.
• Inspect the extinguisher

(more frequently
when circumstances require).
• Check that the extinguisher is charged.
