1. Ensure that the power cord is inserted fully into the back of the kettle and insert the plug into a standard
domestic power outlet. Switch on the power outlet, then switch on the kettle by using the ON/OFF switch.
Make sure that there is water in the jug.

2. Stand the base unit on a dry, firm surface.
3. Ensure that the ON/OFF switch is in the “OFF” position. Locate the kettle firmly on the base.

7. The base does not require maintenance. Any damage must be fully replaced.
5. Ensure that the kettle has switched “OFF” automatically or is switched “OFF” manually before attempting to
