The
Enable Register
acts like a gate for the
Interrupt Operation Register
. If the
Event Register
is not enabled (i.e. gate is close), the interrupt signal will not be
sent to the
Status Byte Register
. If the
Event Register
is enabled, the interrupt
signal will be sent to bit 0 of the
Status Byte Register
. To check whether the
Enable Register
is enabled, use the following SCPI command:
STAT:INT:ENAB?
If the return value is “
1
” (in binary is 01), it means that the information at bit 0 of
Event Register
in
Interrupt Operation Register
will be sent to bit 0 of
Status Byte
Register
. If the return value is “
2
” (in binary is 10), it means that the information at
bit 0 of
Event Register
in
Interrupt Operation Register
will be sent to bit 0 of
Status Byte Register
. To enable both bit 0 and bit 1 of
Enable Register
to send the
information in bit 0 and bit 1 of
Event Register
in
Interrupt Operation Register
,
send the following SCPI command:
STAT:INT:ENAB 3
The user may send the SCPI command “
*STB?
” to query the status of the
Status
Byte Register
and observe bit 0 of the return value to check whether an interrupt
has occured provided that the user has previously select the trigger source and
enable the
Enable Register
of the
Interrupt Operation Register
.
The flowchart in
shows an example of the interrupt function operation.
