Inductive Load Boundary for Constant Current (CC) Operation
The following figures show the boundary limitations for inductive loads with equivalent series
resistance (ESR) for constant current operation. Operation below the marginal stability lines may
result in output instability. Note that lead and DUT resistance and inductance are indistinguishable in
this context. It is also important to consider the voltage drop and power dissipation in the leads from
increased lead resistance. Refer to

EQUIPMENT DAMAGE The power supply's internal voltage clamps are susceptible to
thermal damage when the output is abruptly turned off at full load current if the lead
inductance exceeds the model-dependent
characteristic.
