Keysight E8740A Automotive Radar Installation & User Guide

Software Installation

The SW components required for the E8740A Automotive Radar are installed 

separately. Please install the components in the following order:

1

Install the TAP Development System application. 
Installation steps can be found in the "Installing TAP" section of 

TAP Training: 

Introduction to using TAP

. The current supported revision of the TAP system is 

version 8.8 or later.
These plugin components will install all the necessary DLLs into the Windows 

TAP folder (C:\Program Files\Keysight\TAP) to allow the selection and 

execution of the Automotive Radar.

Install Keysight Signal Studio.
Download the Signal Studio software suite 

here.

Install Keysight VSA Software.
Download the VSA software 

here

.

Refer to the installation manual for futher information 

here.

Install Keysight IO Libraries.
Download the IO Libraries 

here.

NOTE

The Keysight Signal Studio contains the Keysight IO Libraries.

NOTE

The VSA software is used wherever the configuration includes a scope.
