About KD-PVBPD

 

Transmits or Receives  real-time Color or Black & White video

 

Extends Black & White video up to 2,600 ft using a standard CAT cable when 
used with an Active Receiver (Key Digital models KD-AUVRX or KD-4AUVRX).  

 

Extends Black & White video up to 1,300 ft using a standard CAT cable when 
paired with a Passive Transmitter Balun (Key Digital models KD-PVBVP or KD-
4PUV).

 

Extends Color video up to 2,000 ft using a standard CAT cable when used with an 
Active Receiver (Key Digital models KD-AUVRX or KD-4AUVRX).  

 

Extends Color video up to 1,000 ft using a standard CAT cable when paired with a 
Passive Transmitter Balun (Key Digital models KD-PVB or KD-4PUV).

 

Extends data for cameras / source devices up to 1,000 ft using a standard CAT 
cable

 

Extends power for cameras / source devices up to 1,000 ft using a standard CAT 
cable

 

Compatible with CAT5/CAT5e/CAT6/CAT7 cabling

Installation and Operation

Before permanently securing the unit for final installation of cabling 
behind walls or ceilings, test for proper operation of the unit and the 
cables in your system.

Video Connections

 

Secure video input/output connections by locking KD-PVBVPD BNC connectors 
with source and display devices

 

Insert CAT5/6/7 cable into RJ-45 connector on each balun.  For pin-out,  please 

see “Pin Assignment for KD-PVBVPD”

Power Connections

 

KD-PVBVPD will transmit/receive power in addition to video signals.  

When extending power over CAT cabling voltage naturally decreases as cable 
runs increase.  Please see “Voltage Drop Reference Chart” below to ensure that 
you are sending adequate voltage for your application.
