Connectors
Each Input (2 Input Group) and Output (1 separate Output Groups) consists of 6 color-coded
RCA jacks:
Video:
3 x color-coded RCA female jacks for Component Video (Y, Pb, Pr with composite sync
on “Y”, VGA (RGBHV) video (use the L&R audio connectors for H&V), S-Video (with
adapter), or Composite Video (CV)
Audio:
2 x color-coded RCA female jacks for standard line-type Left & Right analog pairs. Can
not be used for audio when VGA H&V are used as an input.
1 x color-coded RCA female jack for digital PCM audio
Toslink Optical Audio (PCM sourced) provided at the output for the selected (switched)
input source
Other Connections:
Standard jack for external power supply
12 Volt Trigger Control jack, two 4-pin male headers, exposed when the small top faceplate is
removed from the KD-CSW2x1

Firmware Notice
Your 2x1 Automatic Switcher, Model KD-CSW2x1, has firmware installed that should always reboot
when power is supplied. In the extremely unlikely event your unit is not operating in accordance
with the description in this manual, please refer to steps below to ensure proper operation.
Please follow these simple steps:
Follow these directions only if you are encountering problems or unexpected operation of
your unit.
Locate the square pushbutton switch on the front panel of the unit, labeled “Input Select”.
If you depress (push in) and hold this button for eight (8) seconds, you will notice the front
LEDs (to the left of the switch) will blink – either two (2), three (3), or four (4) times. For normal
operation, please do NOT depress this button for more than a few seconds at a time.
If the LEDs blink two times after you depress and hold the “Input Select” button for eight (8)
seconds, then the Switcher is loaded with the proper firmware, and you should find the unit is
operating according to the instructions in this manual.
If the LEDs blink three or four times, please depress and hold the “Input Select” button for
eight (8) seconds. Repeat this operation until the LEDs blink two times. You should then find
the unit is operating according to the instructions in this manual.
