process. Here is an overview of the Compass Navigator program interface.
The Compass Navigator
™
Software uses the standard Windows structure. At the top left corner
is the “Quick Access” toolbar. These functions are always available, and any command in any of
the ribbons can be added to this section. Below that are several tabs called Ribbons that open
horizontal menus of options.
Workspace windows
Below the Ribbons is the workspace. This area is comprised of several windows that allow
programming of different features. These windows can be moved or closed at will to optimize
the space for whichever aspect of the programming is being done. As noted in the discussion
of the Window ribbon, these layouts can be saved. Any of the preconfigured workspace layouts
can be accessed using the buttons at the bottom numbered 1-8. Also, the default layout can
always be accessed.
