Checking the clamping force of the quick releases
Open and close the quick releases on the stem or
the seat post.
The clamping force is sufficient if the clamping
lever can be moved easily from the open final
position into the middle and has to be pressed with
the fingers or base of the thumb from the middle
point onwards.
6.2.2.2
Adjusting the quick release clamping force
If the
clamping lever on the handlebars
cannot be
moved into its final position, screw out the
knurled
nut
.
Tighten the
knurled nut
on the seat post if the
clamping lever's
clamping force is not sufficient.
If you are unable to set the clamping force, the
specialist dealer will need to check the quick release.

Brake failure due to incorrect setting
If the pressure point is set with brakes where the brake
lining and brake disc have reached their wear limit, the
brakes may fail and cause an accident with injury.
Before you set the pressure point, ensure that the
brake lining and brake disc have not reached their
wear limit.
The pressure point setting is adjusted using the twist
knob.
Turn the twist knob towards the plus (+) symbol.
