4 Assembly
4.1
Conditions for assembly
- The Station must be set on a sufficiently load-bearing (determined according to filled
1
weight) and level
surface.
- The surface must be suitable for bearing the fastenings (0.9 kN per bolt), in order to prevent the station from
floating.
- Service pipes (intake, outlet and ventilation) must be fastened in a self-supporting way, they must not rest on
the station.
- The filling volume of the pressure pipes must not exceed the station's effective volume
2
.
The effective volume of the station is defined by the ON and OFF
switching points and the post run time. If this is not observed,
sediments may build up in the intake pipe which can lead to
functional disruptions.
Dependence of the effective volume on the intake position
(See also 6.5)
4.2
Assembling the Station
Stations are heavy and bulky. Use suitable load-carrying facilities (crane, platform truck, etc.) to for transport.
When transporting using load-carrying facilities, the Station must be securely fastened to a suitably stable
pallet.
If the station is to be transported, it can be helpful to disassemble the wastewater pump(s) in order to reduce
weight. If these have been disassembled, the station must be additionally be tested for leaks on the pump
flange prior to start-up.
The pump flange must not be removed (see 7.1).
Ensure sufficient space for maintenance work, in accordance with the valid guidelines and standards
3
. We
recommend at least 60 cm of free space around the work area.
If provided, place sound-absorbing underlays (accessories) at the installation point so that the Station can be
positioned on these.
