Safety Warnings
1. The meaning of

2. WARNING : In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.

This product is not a toy. It should not be used by children or in

rm persons without supervi-
sion.
4. Disconnect from mains when not in use or when moving or cleaning.

Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug. If the supply cord is damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly quali
fi
ed person in
order to avoid a hazard.
6. The heater is hot when in use .To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surface.
7. Do not immerse cord, plug or any part of the appliance in water or any other liquid.

Do not use the heater in dusty environments or where
fl
ammable vapours are present (e.g. in
a workshop or garage).
9. Do not place the heater on or near any other source of heat.
10. Do not cover the heater. A
fi
re may occur if the heater is covered with or touches
fl
ammable
material, including curtains, drapes, bedding etc. when in operation. KEEP THE HEATER
FROM SUCH MATERIALS.

Do not use the heater near wash basins, shower, sinks, swimming pools or other places
where it may get wet.
12. Do not locate the heater below a socket-outlet.
13. Do not let the mains lead hang over the edge of the table or work surface or touch hot sur-
faces.
14. Do not misuse the cord or pull the cable to disconnect it from the outlet. Instead, grasp the
plug and pull it to disconnect.
15. Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or modify the appliance. There are no user-serviceable
parts inside.
16. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter the ventilation or exhaust openings as this may
cause an electric shock ,
fi
re or damage to the appliance.
17. Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer or any other device that switches the heater
on automatically, since a
fi
re risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly.
18. There may be trace of smoke during the
fi
rst few minutes of initial use. This is normal and will
quickly disappear.
19. This heater is
fi
lled with a precise quantity of special oil. Repairs requiring opening of the oil
container are only to be made by the manufacturer or his service agent who should be con-
tacted if there is an oil leak.
20. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
21. When scrapping the heater, follow the regulations concerning the disposal of oil.
22. Do not pull on the power cord or the appliance to unplug the appliance from the electric
socket.
