8.7 Adjustment

As the acceleration value due to gravity is not the same at every location on earth,
each balance must be coordinated - in compliance with the underlying physical
weighing principle - to the existing acceleration due to gravity at its place of location
(only if the balance has not already been adjusted to the location in the factory). This
adjustment process must be carried out during the initial start-up, after change in
location and variation of surrounding temperature. To receive accurate measuring
values it is also recommended to adjust the balance periodically in weighing
operation.

The adjustment should be made with the recommended adjustment weight (see
chap. 1 "Technical data"). Adjustment is also possible with the weights of other
nominal values (see following table), but not the optimum for measuring technique.

8.7.1  Procedure when adjusting

Check that the surrounding conditions are stable.
A short warm-up time (see chap. 1) is recommended for stabilisation.

Ö

  Model FWN 3K1IPM (verifiable)

Attention:
In the verified balances the adjustment is not possible (see chapter 8.9).

Turn on balance by pressing the [ON/OFF] key

Press adjustment switch (see chapter 8.9). CAL is displayed.

Press the [TARE] button. CAL 0 is displayed..

Wait for the stabilisation display and press then the [TARE] button. CAL F is

displayed.

For an exact adjustment put the weight in the center of the weighing plate.

Wait for the stabilisation display and press then the [TARE] button.

The display shows END. Remove adjustment weight and the balance returns

automatically into the weighing mode.
