1. Switch MODE to CW. Turn the METER to RF.
2. Flip the SEND switch and
QUICKLY
adjust the PLATE control and then the LOAD control
alternately to peak (
maximum meter deflection
) the power output.
3. If necessary, adjust RF VOLT control (side) to bring output to about 2/3 scale reading.

NOTE:
When in the CW position, there is nothing to screen the RF Voltage. Thus, don’t
leave SEND on for more than 10 SECONDS. Any more and you’ll shorten the life of
the tubes.
