1 .  R e m o v e  t h e  f o u r  p h i l l i p s  s c r e w s  h o l d i n g  t h e  c a b l e  w r a p s 

o n  t h e  r e a r  p a n e l of  t h e  C S - 1 7 2 0 ,  u s i n g a © 

s c r e w d r i v e r .  H o l d i n g  t h e  f r o n t  p a n e l of  t h e  C S - 1 7 2 0 , 

s l i d e  t h e  c a s e  o f f  b a c k w a r d s . 

2 .  W h e n  r e p l a c i n g  t h e  u n i t in  i t s  c a s e ,  s l i d e it  h o r i z o n t a l l y 

a l o n g  t h e  l o c a t i n g  r a i l s in  t h e  c a s e  b a s e  p l a t e  u n t i l  t h e 

f r o n t  p a n e l  i s  s n u g  a g a i n s t  t h e  c a s e . 

3 .  R e p l a c e  t h e  c a b l e  w r a p  a n d  s c r e w s ,  a n d  t i g h t e n  s e c u r e -

REMOVAL OR REPLACEMENT OF THE CRT 

1 .  W h e n  r e m o v i n g  t h e  C R T  f o r  r e p a i r or  m a i n t e n a n c e , 

N E V E R  r e m o v e  t h e  C R T  b a n d .  R e m o v e  o n l y  t h e  m o u n -

t i n g  s c r e w s ,  a n d  g e n t l y  s l i d e  t h e  C R T  b a c k w a r d s ,  r a i s e 

t h e  s o c k e t  u p . If  t h e  a b o v e  p r o c e d u r e  i s  f o l l o w e d , 

r e m o v a l of  t h e  C R T  i s  e a s i l y  a c c o m p l i s h e d .  R e p l a c e m e n t 

c a n  b e  d o n e  e a s i l y . 

2 .  I n s e r t  t h e  C R T  c a r e f u l l y .  A f t e r  l o c a t i n g  t h e  C R T  o n  t h e 

r e t a i n i n g  r u b b e r s ,  t i g h t e n  t h e  C R T  r e t a i n i n g  s c r e w s 

l o o s e l y .  F i x  t h e  s c r e w s  o f  C R T  b a n d s  s o  t h e  C R T  i s in 

p a r a l l e l  w i t h  t h e  f r a m e  a n d  t h e n  t i g h t e n  t h e  s c r e w s  o f 

C R T  m o u n t i n g  h a r d w a v e . 

3 .  A s  s l o t s  a r e  p r o v i d e d in  t h e  C R T  b r a c k e t ,  t h e  C R T  c a n 

b e  m o v e d  r i g h t  a n d  l e f t ,  a n d  b a c k  a n d  f o r c e .  A s  t h e 

b r a c k e t  i s  i n c l i n e d  b y  4 5 ° ,  t h e  C R T  c a n  b e  p o s i t i o n e d 

a n  a r b i t r a r y  p o s i t i o n .  T o  f i x  t h e  C R T ,  t i g h t e n  t h e  C R T  r e -

t a i n i n g  s c r e w s  l o o s e l y  a n d  f i x  t h e  C R T  t o  b e in  p a r a l l e l 

w i t h  t h e  f r a m e .  T h e n ,  f i n a l l y ,  f i x  t h e  C R T  r e t a i n i n g 

s c r e w s  t i g h t l y .
