BELT CHANGING
Replace belt whenever a burning rubber
smell caused by excessive slippage
occurs.
1.
Lay vacuum cleaner on floor with the
bottom up and nozzle flat.
2.
Remove three (3) screws from the
lower plate.
3.
Release lower plate by pressing the
latch. Lift off lower plate.
4.
Remove agitator by carefully lifting
out.
5.
Remove worn or broken belt.
6.
Clean agitator (see
AGITATOR,
CLEANING
page. 19).
7.
Loop new belt around motor shaft and
agitator.
8.
Reinstall agitator back into nozzle by
placing end caps into grooves.
WARNING
Always unplug power cord from electrical
outlet before performing maintenance to
the vacuum cleaner.
CAUTION
Motor shaft may be hot
