Coarse fil ter

Larger items, such a s pie ces of bone or glas s, that could c log the dra in are trapped in the 

coa rs e filter. To re move an item ca ught in this fil ter, gentl y sque eze the ta bs on top of this 

fil ter a nd lift it out.

Filtering System

For y our c onveni enc e, w e have pla ced the drain pump and fil teri ng system within e as y re ach inside the tub. There are thre e 

com ponents of the fil tering system: the main fi lte r, the coarse filter, and the fine fi lte r.

Fi ne fil ter

This fi lte r holds s oil and food residue in the sump area and pr event s i t from being 

re depos ited on the dis hes during a cy cl e.

Main filter

Food and s oil pa rtic le s trapped by this filter are pulverized by a s pecia l je t on the l ower spra y 

arm a nd w ashed down the dra in.

Caring for the Dishwasher

To clean the contr ol panel use a lightly dampened cloth then dry thoroughly.  To clean the exterior use a good 

 appliance polish wax.

 Never use sharp objects, scouring pads or harsh cleaners on any part of the dishwasher.

Protect Against Freezing

If your dishwasher is left in an unheated place during the winter, ask a service technician to:

Cut off electrical power to the dishwasher. Remove

fuses or trip circuit breaker.

Turn off the water supply and disconnect the water

inlet pipe from the water valve.

Drain water from the inlet 

 and water valve.

Reconnect the water inlet 

 to the 

water valve.

Remove the plastic sump cover in the 

tub the bottom and use a sponge to  

soak up water in rubber boot.

Cleaning the Spray A rms

It is ne cessary to c lea n the spray a rms re gular ly for ha rd w ater chemic als wi ll clog the spray a rm j ets and bearings. To re move the 

spray a rm, screw off the nut to ta ke out the wa she r on top of the s pray arm and re move the arm. Wash the a rms in soa py and wa rm 

wa ter a nd use a s oft brush to cl ean  the jets. Replace them after rinsi ng them thoroughl y.

Never run the dishw asher without the fil ters in pla ce.

For best pe rformance and re su lts , the fi lte r as se mbly must be c le aned.
The fil ter efficie ntly re mov es fo od particles from the was h w ate r, all owing i t to be
reci rculate d dur ing the cycl e. For this re ason, it is a good idea to remove the l arge r
food parti cl es tr apped in the fil te r after ea ch wash cy cle by rinsi ng the sem icircula r
filter and cup unde r runni ng wa te r. To remove the fi lte r asse mbly , pul l on the cup
handl e in the upw ard direc tion . The entire fil ter a ss embly should be cleane d at le ast
once a month.
To clean the c oars e fil ter and th e fine fi lter, us e a c lea ning brus h. Then, reassem ble
the fil ter parts a s s how n in the figures l eft and reins ert the e ntire as sembly i n the
dishwa sher, pos itioni ng i n its s eat a nd pres sing downw ard.
The dis hwasher mus t never be use d without the fil ters. Im prope r replac ement of the
filter may reduc e the perform ance level of the a pplia nce and damage dishes a nd utensi ls.
