THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN USING ELECTRICALLY POWERED PRODUCTS/
EQUIPMENT

•

Carefully read the operating manual before using the product.

•

Electrically powered machines must always be connected to an earthed power socket

(see symbol below). The socket must be installed by a qualified electrician.

•

For your own safety and the safety of others, ensure that the RCD is installed.

•

Do not use power tools in explosive atmospheres. Power tools create sparks that can ig-

nite flammable liquids, gases and dust.

•

Keep the work area clear of other people; distractions can lead to accidents.

•

Avoid using and storing the machine where it is exposed to rain or moisture. Do not

touch a generator when your hands or the generator is wet. This is to avoid electric shock/

short circuit.

•

Make sure the work area is well lit.

•

Children must never be present within the work area, never let children operate ma-

chines, tools or extension cords.

•

Make sure the power switch is off (in the OFF position) before switching on the power.

•

Disconnect the power cable when the machine is not in use and when it is being serviced.

•

The equipment works best and most safely when it is used in the capacity it is intended

for. Do not attempt to alter the machine to increase its capacity.

•

Stand in a steady stance and do not stretch over the machine when it is running, espe-

cially machines with rotating parts, for example, rotating blades.

•

It is absolutely forbidden to use the machine for anything other than its intended pur-

pose.

•

Putting hands, feet and other body parts into the machine while it is in operation is strict-

ly prohibited. Exercise great caution while using the machine.

•

Check cords and extension cables at regular intervals to ensure that no damage has oc-

curred.

•

Never overload the machine.

•

Do not move the machine when it is running.

•

Never leave the machine unsupervised when it is running. Only the operator is permitted

to be in the vicinity of the machine while it's in use, and respect the machine's risk zone

(15-20 m). Never walk or stand under a suspended load.

•

Keep the workplace clean and free of obstacles in order to minimise the risk of accidents.

•

If you use a power tool in a damp place where it is unavoidable, use a protected power

supply.

•

Long-term exposure to noise can cause permanent hearing damage. Use ear defenders.
