Remote trigger example
summarizes the command sequence for basic trigger operation. These com-
mands set up Model 2520 triggering as follows:

Trigger input source: bus
•
Output trigger: enabled
•
Trigger link output line: 1
After the unit is set up, :INIT is sent to take the unit out of idle. *TRG is sent to trigger the
unit, after which it performs one measurement cycle.

Take Model 2520 out of idle state.
:ABORt
Reset trigger system.
:TRIGger:COUNt <count>
Set trigger count (1 to 5000).
:TRIGger:ILINe <line>
Select trigger link input line (1 to 6).
:TRIGger:OLINe <line>
Select trigger link output line (1 to 6).
:TRIGger:OUTPut <event>
Enable/disable output trigger. (TRIGger or NONE).
:TRIGger:SOURce <source>
Select trigger input source (IMMediate, TIMer, BUS, TLINK,
PSTest, NSTtest, or BSTest).
:TRIGger:TIMer <time>
Set trigger timer (0 to 99999.99s).

Trigger Model 2520 (if BUS source selected).
