2.3.2 To An iPad
Connecting the 12 Step to an iPad is very similar to connecting to a computer, the only difference is
that one more part is needed.
An Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter (for iPads with Lightning connectors)
or
an Apple iPad
Camera Connection Kit (for iPads with the older 30-pin connectors) is required to connect the 12
Step to an iPad via USB.
Plug the adapter into the iPad, plug the 12 Step’s main USB port into the adapter with a USB A to B
cable, and everything is ready to go.
Note
: Some iPad models may not be able to power the 12 Step without some help — the 12 Step may
have to be powered externally with a USB power supply (5V, 500mA). Just plug the 12 Step’s mini-USB port
(the Expand port) into the power supply, then plug the power supply into a power outlet.
