POWER Button
Press POWER to turn on the meter.
Press POWER again to turn it off
After 15 minutes of inactivity, the meter automatically switches off to save
battery life.
MAX Hold Button
This shows the highest reading recorded by the meter since being switched
on.
1.
Press MAX hold to display the highest reading.
2. Press MAX hold again to return to normal operation.
DATA HOLD Button
This “freezes” a measurement for later reference.
Press DATA HOLD to “freeze” the reading and “HOLD” will appear in
the display.
Press DATA HOLD again to return to normal operation.
BACKLIGHT Button
Press BACKLIGHT to illuminate the display.
Press BACKLIGHT again to return to normal operation.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
The meter’s battery needs replacing when it displays:
Open battery cover and remove battery from meter
Insert a new 9-Volt alkaline battery and replace battery cover

· Poorly maintained fossil fuelled boilers, heaters or fireplaces.
· Dirty or blocked chimneys and flue exhausts.
· Poorly maintained gas, oil, or kerosene appliances.
· Internal combustion engines (e.g., vehicles, lawnmowers, blowers).
