PREPARING A VEHICLE TO POWER YOUR KEIS HEATED GARMENT
Your Keis heated gloves are designed to be powered from a 12V source such as a vehicle battery
or Keis Battery Packs.
To power your Keis garment from a vehicle battery attach the Fused Connection Lead directly to the
battery or other live 12V source taking into account any safety notices issued by the vehicle
manufacturer and observing the polarity Red +ve and Black -ve.
Position the power socket so it is in a convenient position to power your garment and secure if necessary
using cable ties or tape ensuring that it cannot become trapped, damaged or interfere with the normal
operation of the vehicle.
WARNING
Always connect the Red +ve lead to the battery first.

POWERING YOUR KEIS HEATED OUTER GLOVES FROM OTHER KEIS
HEATED GARMENTS

can share a single power source.

In some cases additional supply leads may be required. Ask your dealer for details or visit

MANAGE YOUR FUSES
WARNING
For your safety it is essential to manage
the fusing to your Keis Heated Apparel.
A selection of up to five fuses is supplied depending on
the current drain and potential combinations of the
garments.
On delivery the fuse holder in the supply loom may be
delivered without a fuse.
To
calculate the fuse value
required
s
imply add the current draws for each of the
garments
supp
li
ed by the 12V Supply Loom and use
the lowest rated fuse that exceeds the calculated
current.
NOTE:
A fuse value below the value required may fail
in use.
FOR
EXAMPLE:
Sleeved Jacket consumes 7A, Insoles
consume 1.3A. Therefore total is 8.3A. Next fuse value
above this is 10A so use a 10A fuse.
