7. Changing from Celsius to Fahrenheit and vice-versa
The Forehead Thermometer can display temperature measurements in either
Fahrenheit or Celsius. To change the temperature scale from Fahrenheit to Celsius
or vice versa, press Start button when power is off for more than 5 seconds
until

and the flashing °C (or °F) icon is shown on the LCD. Press and release
Start to switch from °C to °F, or vice versa. If the scale is not switched (Start not
pressed and released) for 5 seconds, the LCD will indicate ready-for-measurement
(same as normal turn-on).

8. Error Messages
• In the following situations it is recommended that three temperatures in the same location
be taken and the highest one taken as the reading:
1) Newborn infants in the first 100 days.
2) Children under three years of age with a compromised immune system and for whom the
presence or absence of fever is critical.
3) When the user is learning how to use the thermometer for the first time until he/she has
familiarized himself/herself with the instrument and obtains consistent readings.
