Operating the Remote Controller
5.14 System address setting
Automatic Allocation of the IDU Address and Centralized Controller.
Connection of the IDU.
1. The network address and the indoor unit address are the same,
and do not have to be configured separately.
2. When this indoor unit is connected to a V6 (or V4+) outdoor unit,
the setting of the IDU address is completed using the communications
between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit. The IDU address does
not need to be set separately. The centralized control of the indoor
unit is completed on the outdoor unit. For details, refer to the manual
on the V6 (or V4+) outdoor unit.
Note:
Once the centralized control function for the V6 (or V4+) indoor unit has been
completed on the outdoor unit, the DIP switch on main control board of the V6 (or
V4+) outdoor unit must be set to auto addressing. Otherwise, the indoor unit in
the system will not be controlled by the centralized controller.
Setting the IDU address via the wired controller:
1. If the indoor unit has no address, use a two-way communication
wired controller [for example: WDC-86E/KD] to set the address of the
indoor unit.
2. Press and hold “▲” and “▼” for 8 seconds to go to IDU address
setting screen. Press “
“ to exit the setting screen.
3. You can query and set up the address of the indoor unit on the
address setting screen.
4. Once you have entered the address setting screen, the wired con-
troller displays the current address if the indoor unit has an address.
5. After entering the address setting screen, if the indoor unit has no
address, press the “▲” or “▼” button to adjust the address value.
6. Press “
“ to send the indoor unit the address currently displayed
on the wired controller.
7. The wired controller will exit the address setting state after 60 se-
conds, or you can press “
“ to exit the address setting state.
8. In the address setting state, the wired controller does not respond
to or forward any remote control signal.
