POSITIONING OF PUMP
Decide where toput the pump. If only one pump is used it is usually
best to put it where the water is deepest when the boat is still. Check
that the pump casing can be removed for cleaning.
1. Press the catches on the side of the pump and release the filter
from underneath the pump.
2. All the necessary conduits for the transport of water must be
installed. Fit all the conduits horizontally or place the pump higher,
to prevent water remaining in the conduits.
Fit the filter.
A: When fitting the plywood board, use self-tapping screws of
stainless steel, Ø 4.0 mm.
B: When installing on metal or glass fibre, fit a plywood board
first, fit the filter on the board and then put the pump on the
filter. Make sure that the two catches engage.
3. Connect a hose with ID 3/4" to the bilge pump outlet and secure
with stainless steel hose clip. Use a hose that bends, to prevent
blockages.
4. To prevent corrosion and damage to the wires the wire ends and
terminals must be protected with insulation tape and fastened as
high up as possible.
Wires with cross-sectional area of 1.0 mm

recommended. Using
thinner wires leads to less pressure and reduced pump capacity,
and can cause overheating.
5. Check the installation to make sure everything is working as it should.
NOTE:
•
Make sure to replace the filter correctly before connecting and/
or starting the pump. Never run the pump without the filter.
•
The pump should be placed above the water level.
•
Using a hose with a smaller diameter will not damage the
pump, but the flow will be reduced.
