HEADLESS MODE
Switching to headless mode
In headless mode the quadrocopter flies in
the direction given with the remote control,
regardless of how the quadrocopter is
orientated.
Activation of headless mode
When the pairing is ready press the left lever
down to enable headless mode. This can be
done when flying, or when the quadrocopter
is on the ground. The remote control emits an
audio prompt and two diagonal status lights
on the quadrocopter flash.
Deactivation of headless mode

mode. The remote control emits an audio

Turn
FIG. 21
When the lever is moved forward in headless
mode the quadrocopter flies forward, away
from the starting point. When the lever is
moved back the quadrocopter flies back to the
starting point, regardless of its orientation. The
remote control must be recalibrated according
to the instructions below if the user moves.
Direction calibrating
If the quadrocopter crashes it may need to be
trimmed again. Put the quadrocopter on a
level surface and press the trimming button.
The remote control emits an audio prompt and
the status lamp flashes. Turn the right lever
clockwise. Two of the red status lights on the
quadrocopter go on and then flash diagonally.
The status light on the remote control goes on.
The calibration is then ready and the forward
direction is towards the front end of the
quadrocopter (black rotors).
To calibrate the direction when flying press the
left lever to disable headless mode. Change the
direction of flying so that the quadrocopter and
the remote control are pointing in the same
direction and press the left lever to enable
headless mode. The direction calibrating is
then ready.
