2.3 Intended purpose

2.3.1 General

Note

The waste that arises must be recycled or disposed of in a manner safe for humans

and the environment. Observe the applicable national regulations.

Please direct all questions regarding the proper disposal of KaVo products to the

nearest KaVo branch.

Use according to the product's "intended purpose" also includes consulting all in‐

formation within the user instructions, and complying with all inspection and main‐

tenance activities.

During use, national legal regulations must be observed, in particular:

▪ the applicable health and safety regulations.

▪ the applicable accident prevention regulations.

The handler is required to:

▪ Only use appliances that do not have any faults.

▪ Avoid contamination from the product.

This product is intended for interior use only.

Observe the corresponding country-specific regulations when finally shutting down

a KaVo product. Please direct all questions regarding the proper disposal of KaVo

products to the nearest  KaVo branch.

2.3.2 Product-specific

The KaVo Everest Scan is a device for scanning dental prosthetic and precision

engineered objects.

It is not intended for any other purpose or wider application.

An additional Everest Design Sherpa is for supporting the existing scanner in the

construction and administration of large orders. Parallel scanning and design means

an order can be scanned without any wait while another is simultaneously designed

and fabricated. This additional PC is integrated into the existing Everest system and

can optionally be installed in any system. Any other or more extensive use of the

construction PC is not in accordance with specifications.

When the product is integrated into an existing network, the responsibility for func‐

tionality and safety lies with the network operator.

Software and settings

CAUTION

Impairment of operation from additional programs

Additionally installed software can impair the operation of the system.
