A 5.1 Connecting the suction hoses

The recommended hose diameter for labo-
ratory workstations and for connection to
collection points or rack modules is 
42 mm 

.

Push 42 mm 

hose onto the nozzle of the

collection point or of the rack and secure
with hose clip.

Screw suction hoses 

42 mm and 

50

mm into 50/42 mm adapter.  If necessary,
cut the suction hose to length, so that it can
be connected without hanging down (also
without being under tension).

Fit 

50 mm suction hose onto pipe bend

and fit pipe bend 

with suction hose

fitted onto suction unit.

In the case of collection points with
recessed suction openings, ensure

that the hose is the optimum length, is not
kinked, not under tension and glides
smoothly on the hose slide.

Steep rises and “sagging“ in the hose
should be avoided. Use hose clips as
required.
