As necessary
Renew worn sliding pieces (16) by removing the hydraulic lines from the cylinder (20)
with the hydraulic system depressurised, including nut (21). Remove the screws (14),
hooks (15) and lift the fork positioner off the fork carriage of the lift truck. Replace the
sliding pieces (16). During installation pay close attention that the sliding pieces (16)
are seated correctly. Place the fork positioner on the fork carriage and attach hooks
(15) using screws (14), cylinder (20) including nut (21), and the hydraulic lines.
Replace defective supporting rollers (18) by removing the screws (14) in the hooks
(15). Tilt the fork positioner forward off the fork carriage so that the support roller (18)
no longer rests, and secure this position. Tap the bolt (19) out of the hook (15).
Replace the defective supporting rollers (18). Now reinstall the bolt (19) and hook (15)
using screws (14).
Renew the faulty cylinders (20) by removing the hydraulic lines from the cylinder with
the hydraulic system depressurised and nut (21, 21a). Replace the cylinder (20).
Attach the nut (21a, 21) for the cylinder (20) and the hydraulic lines.
After installing or removing a cylinder (20), always check the clearance between the
cylinder mount and nut (21, 21a) of the cylinder (20). Cylinders are installed with axial
clearance of 1.5 to 2 mm.
